Angela Pinkston

Born and raised in Alaska, Angela grew up in a musical family and soon began taking piano lessons at age five.  A few years later, she learned how to play the flute and has enjoyed adding various musical instruments to her collection including accordion, penny whistles, Native American flutes and others as she seeks to add to her sound.

Right out of high school, Angela joined Celebrant Singers, a missionary group which uses music as a way to preach the gospel of Jesus and also encourage the church.  She traveled with them for two years and went to many countries as well as all over North America.  After returning to Alaska, Angela attended Northwind School of Ministry and helped to establish Northwind Global Ministries along with her mentors, Pat and Evelyn Donelson, and others.

A few years later, after graduating ministry school and being ordained as a minister, Angela and her family moved to Nashville, TN to be on staff with Ray Hughes where she would lead worship, play accordion in Ray’s band at the time, and travel throughout the south.  A year later they moved to Redmond, Oregon where she worked for a time with Randy DeMain.

Eventually they would move to Albany, Oregon where Angela currently resides with her children.  Angela is one of many worship leaders at Jesus Pursuit Church and also travels out to lead worship and teach.  She has been a singer/songwriter for 10+ years and loves to help people write their own music and find their sound.
